We'll be using a specially developed curriculum for teaching young Chessplayers—whether they are starting out as beginners, or are already at an intermediate level. There is no “one size fits all” way to learn chess, and a student will progress at his or her own pace, so our aim to always provide individual and small group instruction, as well as more generalized lessons to the class as a whole. The best way to learn is by doing, and during a class session there is time set aside for structured activities, including specially selected chess puzzles, and various exercises designed to clearly illustrate concepts. Of course, there is also time for “Free Play”, as well.
